Addison Jo Anderberg

Addy Jo finally decided, or was made, rather, to come into our family on Friday, February 20, 2009 at 10:36 am! it was about as nice of a delivery and labor as one could go. We went down to Michael's mother's home Thursday night and spent the night so we could leave Michael Codi and not have to wake him up at 4:30 in the morning. Once we got to bed i didn't sleep that well with the antisipation of what was to come the following morning, plus the 5 trips to the bathroom! The alarm finally sounded at 4:10 am and Michael and i got up, grabbed a pop-tart, grabbed our overnight bag and headed out the door to drive down to 5300 South where they were awaiting us at the hospital. We got checked in and were placed in room two with Tracy as our nurse. She was awesome, very friendly and fun to talk to. She got everything set up, the iv went in the first try, yeah! and Michael even managed to stay in the room for it. They got the pitocin going at 5:45 am and then we just waited. Thankfully there was a Psych marathon going on so we were able to watch that as we waited. At about 7:30 Tracy came in and said that they were moving her to a different area and Annette would be our new nurse. She was nice, but i was bummed because Tracy was a lot more fun to talk to, oh well. At 8:00 am Dr. Kaelberer came in and checked me and broke my water! Yikes! This is when the pain began. Shortly after he left i ordered my epidural. Thank goodness for numbness. However, it didn't quite numb my stomach like i remember my last one doing, so i was still feeling quite a bit of the contractions, Michael's lucky his hand is still attatched. The nurse said to call her when i felt ready to push. We called, she came and checked and said she would go call the dr. He arrived shortly before 10:30 am and we did three sets of contractions pushing three times each and she was out!!! No tearing, no snipping she just slid right out! Her dad cut the cord and then they placed her on my stomach! How amazing are these little ones! She weighed 7lbs 11 oz (only an ounce smaller than her older brother) and was 20 inches long! She was nameless for the first 24 hours of her life and went by Baby Girl until her parents decided that she needed a name. And we decided that she was an Addison! So welcome to our family Addy Jo! We love you!
We are so grateful for good pregnancy and problem free labors.We couldn't feel more blessed than we are with out two beautiful children and happy family.
